Steps

  1. Glue the top slats onto the battens with a 4 mm gap between each.
  2. Cut the legs at 3° and joint them to the shelf rails with dowels.
  3. Screw the shelf slats onto the lower rails.
  4. Attach the top with Z-clips.
  5. Sand and finish with hardwax oil for a satin look.

Tip

Angle the legs with a table saw jig, or keep them square for an easier build.
