Overview

A classic farmhouse dining table sized 1800 × 900 × 760 mm. Solid wood top, four legs with aprons, finished with a hard-wearing varnish.

Steps

  1. Glue the eight top boards edge-to-edge with biscuits.
  2. Build two leg frames (leg + short aprons) with mortise and tenon.
  3. Join the leg frames with the long aprons.
  4. Attach the top with figure-8 clips so it can expand.
  5. Sand to 220 grit and apply 3 coats of varnish.

Tips

  • Mark each top board's orientation before gluing.
  • Check the table is square while the glue dries.
  • Use a level on the floor before assembly.
